(27 May 2015, Hong Kong) New World China Land Limited (“NWCL"; Hong Kong Stock Code: 917) has won international honours, recognising its outstanding performance in corporate communications. NWCL Annual Report 2014 has won the Honor Award of International Astrid Awards Annual Report - Cover Design, with keen competition of over 570 entries from 14 countries.
NWCL Annual Report 2014 has captured a total of seven awards from International Astrid Awards and Mercury Awards including a grand award, two gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals (see table below). With the theme of "Reviving Cultural Heritage", the design of the annual report features the traditional Chinese patch work, One Hundred Families Quilt, coupling with the sculpture images from the “New World‧City Trace Memories” thematic year event, to highlight that NWCL has been dedicated to creating sustainable community, with a special focus on reviving local art and culture.
In addition, New Living, the staff magazine published by NWCL awarded the top honour of "2014 Staff Magazine of Chinese Brand" organised by China Custom Publication Association. New Living features the concept “new world, new living” and aims at promoting the corporate culture, sharing staff developments and reinforcing the internal cohesion. During the selection of the Staff Magazine of Chinese Brand, a total of 300 local enterprises were shortlisted as finalists.
International Astrid Awards and Mercury Awards are committed to commend outstanding communications campaigns. The winners were strictly selected by the judges, consisting of professionals in international public relations, marketing and advertising. The Staff Magazine of Chinese Brand is the first platform in Mainland China for recognising corporate magazines, aiming to promote effective communication channels for enterprises.
