New World China Land Limited (“NWC” or “the Company”) hosted the Guangzhou Zengcheng International Community Project (“the project”) Groundbreaking Ceremony, which NWC plans to build into a large residential community gathering elites and professionals. Mr. So Chung-Keung, Alfred, Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Sitt Nam-Hoi, Director and Chief Design Officer, and Ms. Huang Shao-Mei, Echo, Director and Vice Chief Executive Officer of NWC presided over the ceremony. As the company’s third project in Zengcheng following the Zengcheng Comprehensive Development Project, the new project will fully boost local economic and social development and map NWC’s strategy targeting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Prompt action of a strong team: Land breaking launched in 100 days after acquiring land
NWC started to lay the foundation within 100 days after obtaining the land for Zengcheng International Community Project on 2 September 2019, demonstrating the strong team’s prompt response and ability to manage the progress of the project. Adhering to the brand’s commitment of “Soul of the City” and the belief of people-oriented, NWC will conduct quality assurance with a rigorous and meticulous attitude in future development and construction stages, give full play to the company’s ingenuity and build a warm and lively community for Zengcheng. Located in the core area of the Yongning Subdistrict, Xintang, Zengcheng, the project is adjacent to several hubs and nodes connecting the Greater Bay Area, and is covered in plans for constructing the development zone and the innovation corridor. Boasting high-quality demographic dividends, the area has great potential for future development. NWC plans to invest over RMB 5 billion in the Guangzhou Zengcheng International Community Project that covers an area of about 92,000 sqm and is with a GFA of more than 320,000 sqm, and build it into a large international residential community gathering young elites, professionals, and high-end enterprises. After completed, the project will become a high-quality networking and living circle and a benchmark for a healthy lifestyle. The project is expected to be completed in 2022.
Realise synergies with the Zengcheng Comprehensive Development Project to promote the upgrading of supporting facilities in the district
Guangzhou has expanded the coverage of major urban facilities to Zengcheng since Zengcheng City became a district under the administration of Guangzhou municipal government in 2015, which has fully driven the development of Zengcheng District. In addition to meeting residents’ needs for high-quality living, the Zengcheng International Community Project will realize synergies with the nearby Zengcheng Comprehensive Development Project, thus vigorously promote the upgrading of supporting facilities of Zengcheng and boosting the comprehensive strength of the area at a faster speed. The Zengcheng Comprehensive Development Project, which started in early 2018, is located in the central business district of Guangzhou’s eastern transportation hub and is a critical node in the integrated transportation network of Guangzhou. Featuring superior geological conditions, the project is planned to be developed into an urban complex integrating commercial, offices, and residential buildings as well as hotels, and will have landmark twin towers with a maximum height no less than 240m. The two projects, while bringing out the best of each other and creating a diversified ecosystem for Zengcheng District, will contribute to a new pattern of high-quality living and promote the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. The Greater Bay Area has always been one of the key areas where NWC launches operations.
