(25 October 2015, Foshan) New World China Land Limited (“NWCL” or “the Group”; Stock Code: 00917) has sponsored The European Challenge Tour - Foshan Open for three consecutive years. The tournament was held in Foshan Golf Club of Canton First Estate from 22 October to 25 October 2015. Borja Virto Astudillo, the 21-year-old Spanish golfer, won the championship with an aggregate score of 273, making the second Spanish champion of Foshan Open. 

The champion received a prize of USD$80,000 and obtained 14 world ranking points. Amongst the 10 Chinese golfers entering the final round of Foshan Golf 2015, Zhang Huilin performed the best and made the best Chinese golfer, receiving the prize of jade pendant which is tailor-made by Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited. 

The 2015 Canton International Carnival was also held concurrently. With Canton culture exhibition, parade of floats, family golf competition and lake tour, the event magnetised tens of thousands of visitors. Besides an interactive golf-themed game held in the golf area, a WeChat activity was launched to share Canton First Estate’s environmental protection initiatives with over 10,000 visitors.

Since the signing of the 10-year memorandum on the collaboration with the Foshan Open in 2013, NWCL has been allocating resources on the optimization of Canton First Estate’s facilities.
